FAQs

  • How are fig trees propagated?

Cuttings are specially chosen to maximise the health of the future tree. They are placed in a special soil and drainage medium to aid in the propagation process.

Cuttings are left in the greenhouse until they have developed a sufficient root structure to acclimatise to the outside conditions.

  • How and when are the figs posted?

All fig trees are specially packed so they are secured in travel. I generally use a courier and postage takes a few days. For more remote areas sometimes Express Australia Post is utilised.

I generally post trees on Mondays to reduce the time they in transit. However they may be posted mid week.

  • How old are the plants?

The majority of trees sold have been propagated from last season's fig cuttings. They are sold when they are about 6 months old. They will be delivered with a well developed root system ready to up-pot.

  • Are your trees grafted?

No. All trees are propagated from cuttings. I do have some grafted trees and can graft multiple species on the one tree. These can take over 12 months to organise and can be organised on special request.

  • Where do I deliver to?

I deliver to all states except WA and Tasmania due to postage restrictions. I have used quarantine services to post to Tasmania in the past - reach out for more details.

  • How much is postage?

Postage and Handling is a flat $15 fee. This covers the cost of mailing and boxing costs. For extra large plants, additional charges may apply but these will be detailed prior to purchase.

  • Do you sell mature trees?

I do occasionally have mature trees. Reach out and I can see what I can achieve!

  • Do you sell cuttings?

I only sell propagated trees. I may have spare cuttings in late Autumn, reach out and I can see what I have laying around.

  • Can I pick up?

I am based in the Northern Beaches and pick up can be arranged by appointment.
